PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glossary management device and a glossary management program capable of reducing a labor to collect character strings to be registered in a glossary, and collecting terms following the intended purpose of the glossary.SOLUTION: A glossary management device includes: at least one of a reading part for reading a document and an output part for outputting the document; a storage part capable of storing a glossary constituted of character strings extracted from the document; an acquisition part for acquiring text data from the document when a user performs at least one of the reading and output of the document; an analysis part for analyzing language describing the text data acquired by the acquisition part and the parts of speech of the character strings constituting the text data, and for extracting the character strings on the basis of the analysis resu a term matching part for matching the extracted character strings with a public dictionary in which general terms are registered; and a registration part for, when the extracted character strings do not match the header words of the public dictionary, registering the extracted character strings in the glossary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
