PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for reinforcing a traveling girder of an overhead crane in which a reinforcing member can be disposed in the lower part of the traveling girder even if factory equipment exists below the traveling girder to be reinforced.;SOLUTION: A long reinforcing member 17 for reinforcing a traveling girder 1 is detachably fixed in one end of a suspension jig 15 different from the position engaged with hooks 6, 8. A suspension jig horizontally retaining the reinforcing member is lifted to a height of the traveling girder to be reinforced by carrying out the hoisting operation of hoisting devices 7, 9. Then, the suspension jig is horizontally moved while being headed by one end fixing the reinforcing member, by the traveling of a crane main-girder 4 and the transverse movement of a club 5, and thereby the reinforcing member is moved to the position along the lower part of the traveling girder to be reinforced. Then, the fixation of the reinforcing member to the suspension jig is released after temporarily fixing the reinforcing member with a temporary fixing member and the reinforcing member is fixed to the lower part of the traveling girder by welding.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
