Electricity fee settlement system and electric vehicle charging fee settlement system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a credit card settlement system for vehicle charging fees, which offers a high level of safety against theft of personal identification information and enables automatic settlement upon completion of charging.SOLUTION: A charging terminal 102 reads a credit card number 136 and transmits the same to a settlement server 112 via a settlement relay server 108. The settlement server, if available for a transaction, outputs credit information 234 to the settlement relay server which provides transaction identification information 188 to the charging terminal and a power feed terminal support server 106. The charging terminal feeds power to a user-specified outlet 132 on the basis of the transaction identification information and computes an electricity charge. The electricity charge is transmitted in association with the transaction identification information to the settlement relay server which transmits a charging fee 214 together with the associated credit card number to the settlement server, upon which a settlement process is carried out.
