The present invention is a composite catalyst and its preparation method, and a method of catalytic butadiene trimerization reaction by the composite catalyst. The composite catalyst (A) a titanium compound catalyst active component, (B) an organometallic compound co-catalyst component, (C) sulfoxides compound catalyst modifying components, (D) the mono ester compound catalyst modifying components, with (E) solvent component is configured, the composite catalyst is excellent in selectivity, catalyst activity is high, there is an advantages such preparation is simple.
