PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat utilization heat pump system capable of energy saving of a circulation pump.SOLUTION: A waste heat utilization heat pump system 1 comprises: a compression type heat pump circuit 10 utilizing a shaft output of a prime mover 2 as a power source of a compressor 11 compressing refrigerant; and an absorption type heat pump circuit 20 utilizing waste heat from the prime mover 2 as a heat source of a regenerator 21 heating absorbent. The waste heat utilization heat pump system 1 is configured such that the refrigerant evaporated in the compression type heat pump circuit 10 is circulated to an absorber 22 of the absorption type heat pump circuit 20, is separated after regeneration by the regenerator 21, and is then circulated in the compression type heat pump circuit 10. The waste heat utilization heat pump system 1 comprises an absorption side refrigerant heat recovery device 18 which heat-exchanges between the refrigerant supplied to the compressor 11 and the absorbent supplied to the regenerator 21.
