PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spherical magnesium hydroxide particles and magnesium oxide particles having a large specific surface area, and a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: The magnesium hydroxide particles and magnesium oxide particles are spherical particles that are obtained when scale-like primary particles aggregate.
