PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand washing monitor capable of urging a user to appropriately wash hands depending on the situation in which the user washes hands, a hand washing monitoring method, and a hand washing monitoring program.;SOLUTION: A hand washing monitor 101 includes: an imaging unit 11; a body part detecting unit 12 for detecting an object part G, that is a part or all of a hand washing part of a user in an image taken by the imaging unit 11, from the image; a motion recognition unit 14 for recognizing the motion of the object part G detected by the body part detecting unit 12; a hand washing motion defining unit 16 for acquiring hand washing information relating to the hand washing motion that the user should do, and defining the hand washing motion that the user should do based on the acquired hand washing information; and a motion determining unit 18 for determining whether the user performs the hand washing motion defined by the hand washing motion defining unit 16 based on the motion of the object part G recognized by the motion recognition unit 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
