PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform construction of a steel pipe pile efficiently at a site with overhead clearance restriction.;SOLUTION: A moving device 6 for a steel pipe press-fit device 7 press-fitting a steel pipe vertically into a ground comprises: a pair of right and left traveling rails 61; traveling units 62 that are detachably attached to both of the right and left sides of the steel pipe press-fit device 7 and have wheels to roll on the traveling rails 61; and four lifting jacks 63 that are attached to the front side, rear side, right side, and left side of the steel pipe press-fit device 7. The pair of right and left traveling rails 61 are laid on a bottom surface 65 of a recess 64 that is preformed in making excavation of a bed. The traveling rails 61 consist of H-steel material and the outer flanges 61b make a surface contact with side walls 66 of the recess 64. For installing the steel pipe press-fit device 7 at a construction site, the lifting jacks 63 are extended to lift the steel pipe press-fit device 7 and the traveling units 62 are detached from the steel pipe press-fit device 7.
