PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furnace temperature control method which achieves quick response to the change of load and is hard to be affected by the change of heat quantity of the fuel.;SOLUTION: A furnace temperature control method includes an operation performance collection step of collecting the operation performance in a heat treating furnace to store the operation performance in a data file at the last minute, a comparison step (Step S19) of comparing configuration information of the steel materials used as the object material which carries out heat treating in the heat treating furnace with the operation performance stored in the data file at the last minute to extract the operation performance which meats a predetermined condition, a selection step (Step S20) of selecting the operation performance of the highest evaluation on the stability among the operation performance extracted, a fuel control step (Step S26) of controlling the flow rate of fuel supplied to the heat treating furnace based on the operation performance selected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
