PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative resist composition for a color filter, the composition suppressing precipitation of pigment aggregates in a high-temperature heating process and having excellent developability.;SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion liquid for a color filter includes C.I.Pigment Yellow 138, an imide alkylated derivative of C.I.Pigment Yellow 138, a pigment dispersant and a solvent. The pigment dispersant comprises a grafted copolymer containing, as copolymer components, a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond and an amino group and a macromonomer having a polymer chain and an ethylenically unsaturated double bond at an end of the chain, in which an organic acid compound and at least a part of the amino group derived from the monomer having the ethylenically unsaturated double bond and the amino group form a salt.
