PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion excellent in pigment dispersibility and dispersing stability while attaining requirements of high brightness and high contrast, and to provide a negative resist composition for color filters formable of a color filter with high brightness and high contrast as well as excellent in pigment dispersibility, alkali developability and solvent resistance.;SOLUTION: The negative resist composition for color filters comprises pigments, a sulfonic acid derivative of PY138, a pigment dispersant, an alkali-soluble resin, a multifunctional monomer, a photo initiator and a solvent, wherein the pigment dispersant is a graft copolymer comprising a monomer having an ethylenic unsaturated double bond and an amino group, and a macromonomer having a polymer chain and an ethylenic unsaturated double bond on the terminal as components of the copolymerization; and also the graft copolymer in which a part of the amino group derived from the monomer having the ethylenic unsaturated double bond and the amino group forms a salt with an organic acid compound.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
