PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quality evaluating method permitting precise water quality evaluation at low cost.;SOLUTION: A water quality evaluating method for evaluating the quality of sample water by measuring the concentration of a fluorescence tracer contained in the sample water comprises an exciting light radiating step of irradiating the sample water with exciting light; a fluorescence intensity measuring step (S1) of measuring the intensities of fluorescent lights emitted from the sample water by the exciting light; a correction-purpose fluorescence intensity measuring step (S2) of measuring the intensities of fluorescent lights in a prescribed wavelength range for the correction purpose in the fluorescence spectrum of the fluorescence tracer out of the fluorescent lights emitted from the sample water by the exciting light; and correction steps (S5 to S7) of correcting the measured values at the fluorescence intensity measuring step by calculating, on the basis of the values measured at the correction-purpose fluorescence intensity measuring step, background fluorescence values emitted from any other substance than the fluorescence tracer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
