PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict life of piping after reinforcement with high precision and to reduce effort and cost of inspection.;SOLUTION: A method of predicting life of an aged high temperature pipe that has been reinforced against creep rupture by wrapping a wire therearound includes steps of; obtaining creep constants of the wire and the pipe; determining creep stress acting on the pipe using the obtained creep constants; and calculating creep life of the reinforced pipe based on the determined creep stress and a given environmental condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
