PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disconnect a storage device (HDD) systematically on early stage before a fault occurs.SOLUTION: In an automatic transaction device 1, a processing situation of storage processing executed by storage processing mechanisms 2b and 3b in storage sections 2 and 3 is monitored by a storage monitoring section 6 and on the basis of the processing situation monitored by the storage monitoring section 6, a storage invalidation section 7 invalidates the storage section 2 (or the storage section 3) that executes storage processing corresponding to the storage situation. Namely, the storage section 2 (or the storage section 3) to be in danger of fault can be disconnected systematically from the automatic transaction device 1 before the fault actually occurs. Therefore, in the automatic transaction device 1, information which is generated with the execution of a financial transaction is written from the storage processing mechanism 3b onto a storage medium 3a only by the storage section 3 (or the storage section 2) that has no risk of fault, thereby preventing a write time from being increased.
