PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce further the weights of a fishing rod reel seat and a fishing rod having the reel seat.;SOLUTION: A cylindrical hood 16 for a fishing rod reel seat comprises: a leg holding portion 56, into which the end portion of a reel leg is inserted and in which a part in a circumferential direction bulges radially outward at one end side in the rod axis direction to hold the end portion; and a plurality of reinforced fiber layers formed into a cylindrical shape by overlapping both side edge parts of a prepreg having reinforced fibers impregnated with a resin. The overlapping parts of the prepreg in the individual reinforced fiber layers are located at positions indicated by marks P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5, are positioned in a portion 90 other than a portion having a leg holding portion 56 formed in the circumferential direction, and are disposed while having positional deviations from one another in the circumferential direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
