STRUCTURE FOR IMPROVING AIR-CONDITIONING EFFICIENCY IN SERVER ROOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for improving air-conditioning efficiency in a server room to prevent degradation of air-conditioning efficiency of the server room even when an empty rack which does not accommodate a server, exists in the server room.SOLUTION: An empty rack 1a is sealed by placing a shielding member 2 on an opening portion of the empty rak 1a, and placing the same also on side plates of the rack 1a with through holes such as punching metal. As warm air used for cooling a server in a rack 1a near the empty rack 1a does not flow into the empty rack 1a or pass therethrough, a desired flow channel of air-conditioning air can be formed, and degradation of the air-conditioning efficiency in the server room can be prevented.
