PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an austenitic stainless-clad steel excellent in marine corrosion resistance and low-temperature toughness.;SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing austenitic stainless-clad steel with 30 mm or more total thickness excellent in marine corrosion resistance and low-temperature toughness, a carbon steel contains, by mass%, 0.10-0.15% C; 0.25-0.40% Si; 0.45-2.0% Mn; ≤0.015% P; ≤0.004% S; ≤0.006% N; 0.01-0.1% Cr; 0.005-0.05% Nb; and 0.005-0.05% Al, and is composed of the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities, regarding the component composition.
