PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new high-capacity composite material, a method of producing the composite material, a positive active material and positive electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery, the nonaqueous secondary battery, and a vehicle.SOLUTION: The composite material comprises: a polyacetylene derivative formed by using polyacetylene as a main chain of a polymer structure and using an aromatic group that has at least two imino groups as a side chain of the polymer structure; and a carbon material, wherein the polyacetylene derivative is adsorbed on the carbon material. The acetylene derivative having an imino group-containing aromatic group on the side chain is polymerized in the presence of carbon black.
