PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purified polysaccharide fiber manufactured by using a raw material with less environmental load due to suppression of carbon disulfide emission, where the purified polysaccharide fiber can impart excellent performances in terms of steering stability, riding quality and durability when used for a tire; a rubber-fiber composite; a cord for reinforcing; a rubber-cord composite; and a tire excellent in tire properties, using the same.SOLUTION: The purified polysaccharide fiber of the present invention is characterized in that the relation of strength TB(cN/dtex) and breaking elongation EB(%) at 25°C satisfies the formulas (1) and (2) and also the relation of elastic modulus Er(%) and breaking elongation EB(%) at 25°C satisfies the formula (3) and that the percentage ([Eh/Er] x 100) of elastic modulus Eh(%) to the Er(%) at 150°C is 75 to 100(%).
