PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil winding method of a DC motor, and the DC motor which can reduce the size and weight thereof while preventing increase of the number of slots in comparison with the conventional one.;SOLUTION: A coil winding method of a DC motor having six poles, ten slots, and fifteen segments forms: an U-phase armature coil 71U which consists of an U-phase small coil 171U and a -U-phase small coil 172U; a V-phase armature coil 71V which consists of a V-phase small coil 171V and a -V-phase small coil 172V; a W-phase armature coil 71W which consists of a W-phase small coil 171W and a -W-phase small coil 172W; a X-phase armature coil 71X which consists of a X-phase small coil 171X and a -X-phase small coil 172X; and a Y-phase armature coil 71Y which consists of a Y-phase small coil 171Y and a -Y-phase small coil 172Y.
