A DC motor armature (3) is an 8-pole, 10-slot, 20-segment type or a 12-pole, 15-slot, 30-segment type. A commutator has a connection line (25) arranged for making a shortcircuit between the segments (14) having the same potential. A winding (12) is electrically connected between segments (14) having a potential difference equivalent to the potential difference between the adjacent segments (14). The winding (12) is wound on the teeth (9) so as to form an armature coil (7). Thus, it is possible to provide a DC motor armature, a DC motor, and a DC motor armature winding method so as to obtain a small-size 3-phase DC motor having a long service life and a high efficiency.
