Discloses a method and apparatus for producing a synthetic hydrocarbon-related products using the gas lift plumbing. Using the Fischer-Tropsch process as one example, it is filled tubing with a suitable catalyst, followed by hydrogen and carbon monoxide is injected into the top of the pipe in a manner similar to the gas lift process. When the gas travels through the catalyst, the synthetic hydrocarbon is formed, heat is produced. Synthetic hydrocarbon and water flows through the bottom of the pipe, to move up to the surface through the annular portion upward. In some embodiments, this process is carried out in a production well or production riser. In the production well or production riser, product from the well through the annular portion and upward, to cool the synthetic hydrocarbon-derived products. In a further alternative embodiment, it is possible to use this process in a non-flowing wells.BACKGROUND 1
