PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discourse summary generation system which is suitable for characteristics of discourse data which include spoken language and noises, and generates a summary, including desired topics and contents and not including unnecessary topics, from the analysis result of a discourse data structure.SOLUTION: Discourse data 101 and discourse semantics 200 that is the analysis result of the discourse data structure are input into the discourse summary generation system 1, and a discourse summary is generated therein and output therefrom. The discourse summary generation system 1 comprises: a summary template 72 which specifies a reference list of a word juncture pattern, for identifying the part to be included in the summary 300 in the discourse data 101, and a template to be included in the summary 300; and a discourse summarizing part 70 for matching every patterns specified in the summary template 72 with the discourse data 101, if there is found a matched pattern, generating a summarized sentence based on the template of the matched pattern in the summary template 72, and adding the summarized sentence to the summary 300.
