PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator and a connection type piezoelectric actuator capable of relaxing a tensile stress generated on an adhesive surface when plural piezoelectric actuators are connected and adhered.;SOLUTION: A laminate-type piezoelectric actuator 100 to be used by being serially connected along a laminate direction comprises an active layer 110 formed by alternately laminating polarized piezoelectric layers 111 and internal electrodes 117, and protection layers 120 provided on both ends in a laminate direction of the active layer 110 and formed of a non-polarized piezoelectric layer 121. Among the internal electrodes 117, an internal electrode 117b near the protection layer has a hole 118 at its center. Thereby, both ends 130 are flattened by displacement during applying a voltage, and when the piezoelectric actuator 100 is used by being connected, an additional tensile stress generated on an interface of the protection layer 120 and the active layer 110 by adhesion can be relaxed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
