PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an Al-Cu cast alloy which can improve solid dissolution of Cu in Al and thereby enhance the strength of the cast alloy obtained.;SOLUTION: A method of producing an Al-Cu cast alloy includes a melting step of melting an Al-Cu alloy to obtain a molten metal consisting of the Al-Cu alloy and a step of causing Cu to solid-dissolve into initial crystals α-Al of the molten aluminum by applying ultrasonic vibration continuously to the molten aluminum through the time from initiation of crystallization of initial crystals α-Al of the molten metal at least to arrival of the molten metal to the eutectic temperature during a process of cooling the molten metal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
