Analysis of Apoptotic Bodies in Bodily Fluids

The invention provides methods for the detection of apoptotic bodies in bodily fluid, including blood, blood plasma, and serum. The invention provides methods of labeling apoptotic bodies and their proteins, nucleic acids, and phospholipids. The apoptotic bodies may further be extracted, isolated, or separated from fractions of the bodily fluid.
