Methods are described for using the Breeding effects of hormesis as Selection criteria. It can obtain plants with strong responses of hormesis with methods. We demonstrate a Seedling vigour and yield varied by application of a herbicide tolerant plants to the herbicide.It shows a Cold germination varied plants tolerant to the herbicide.Claim 1: a method for Selection of lines of plants with a hormesis response that includes: (a) cultivating multiple lines of plants; (b) Implement a stress; (c) Note a positive phenotypic response to stress in one or more of the Lines indicating an effect of Plant Hormesis; and (d) select lines of plants with stronger phenotypic Responses to stress.
