The present invention relates to a novel bacteriophage which has a specific bactericidal activity of e.g. coli, a composition for the prevention or treatment of infectious diseases caused by e.g. enterotoxigenic coli comprising bacteriophage as an active ingredient, an antibiotic comprising bacteriophage as an active ingredient, a food additive composition comprising bacteriophage as an active ingredient, a disinfectant or cleaning product comprising bacteriophage as an active ingredient, and a method for the treatment of colibacillosis using the bacteriophage. The novel bacteriophage of the present invention has a specific bactericidal activity against e.g. pathogenic coli, and excellent resistance to acid and heat. therefore, the novel bacteriophage may be used for the prevention or treatment of swine colibacillosis, which is an infectious disease caused by e.g. pathogenic coli, and can also be widely used in animal feed additive, disinfectant, and cleaning product compositions.
