Fuel and base oil mixture stocks from a single feed stock. A method comprising the steps of providing an acyl grease mixture comprising: (i) a C 10-10 -C 16 carbon atom chain content is 30 wt%, wherein at least 80% of the chains of the C 10 -C 16 carbon acyl atom are saturated, and (ii) a C 18 -C 22 carbon acyl chain content of at least 20% by weight, wherein at least at least 50% of the C18-C22-acyl carbon atom chains contain at least one olefin; oligomerizing at least part of the mixture to obtain a second mixture comprising c 36 + alkane oligomers; and separate at least part of the c ~ 36 + ~ alkane diesel fuel mixture stock.
