turbocharger system for extracting energy from an aircraft engine, aircraft, and method of extracting energy from an aircraft engine. a turbocharger (tc) system for extracting power from an aircraft engine. the tc system has a tc assembly with a turbine mechanically coupled to at least one compressor. the tc system has a tc inlet in fluid communication with a bleed air system in the aircraft engine and a tc in in fluid communication with an air conditioning group (ac) of an aircraft air conditioning system and configured to extract inlet air from the reduced temperature group from the tc assembly to the air conditioning group. the tc system has a dynamic air inlet coupled to at least one compressor. the tc system has a tc control valve, a tc check valve or a tc shut-off valve, both coupled to the tc assembly via a plurality of connecting ducts. The tc system draws energy from the bleed air to reduce bleed air flow and dynamic ac group air use.
