Classification systems include a conveyor, an image builder, a plurality of receptacles, a pneumatic device and controller. Molding systems include a conveyor, an image former, a mold, a pneumatic device and a controller. The controller directs the pneumatic device to alter the free fall of chopped fiber composite parts based on characteristics of the chopped fiber composite parts as they fall from the conveyor and into a receptacle or mold. Classification and molding methods include loosening chopped fiber composite pieces, detecting characteristics of the falling pieces, and targeting the pieces based on the detected characteristics.
