The present invention relates to a thermal shield for elimination of environmental effects when conducting thermographic measurements comprising a thermal shield body (1) that is closed from one side, whereby in this closed section (6), there is a scanning opening (4), while in the open section (5) the thermal shield body (1) is beveled and provided with a seal adapted to measuring conditions. In the thermal shield body (1) lateral section, there is provided at least one another measuring opening. So designed thermal shield is used in all fields of the thermographic measurement by application thereof to the object being measured or the object to be measured is inserted into the thermal shield and a thermogram is then provided by the use of a scanning device.
