The invented active control method of sliding bearing vibration by making use of piezoactuators according to the present invention and the function of which is described in the form of a block diagram on the Fig. No. 1 is carried out in such a way that actual positions yi1 and yi2 of a shaft (2) are measured in two directions perpendicular to each other, through the mediation of a first and second position sensor (3 and 4), relative to a bearing body whereupon they are subtracted from the first required position yi1,SP and from the second required position yi2,SP, whereupon the result are a first and second control deviations ei1 a ei2, which are input of a two-parameter position controller (12) and a pair of bandpass tunable filters of the second order (13 and 14), the transmission frequency fw of which is derived from the frequency fR of the shaft (2) revolutions, which is measured by a sensor (19). The outputs of said two-parameter position controller (12) and both said bandpass tunable filters (13 a 14) are added in summers as a first and second action variables ui1 and ui2, and delivered as electric voltage to a pair of electric voltage amplifiers (17 and 18), which feed the first and second piezoactuators (5 and 6), acting in two directions perpendicular to each other on a sliding bearing movable bushing (1), inside of which the said shaft (2) rotates.
