The invented method of processing wood-destroying fungi for consumption, particularly as food supplements is characterized in that the wood-destroying fungi are frozen to a temperature in the range of -80 to -196 degC followed up with crushing to loose particles with the size in the range of 0.2 to 0.5 mm, wherein prior crushing to loose particles with the size in the range of 0.2 to 0.5 mm, the wood-destroying fungi are preliminary ground to particles with the size in the range of 3 to 10 mm, wherein prior freezing to a temperature in the range of -80 to -196 degC, the wood-destroying fungi are preliminary frozen to a temperature in the range of -20 to -80 degC, preferably in an electric freezing apparatus.
