The present invention relates to a dimensional calibration of a precise walling shaped brick (1), preferably ceramic shaped brick (1), having two treated opposite soles (2, 2´), two opposite contact surfaces (3, 3´) and two opposite front surfaces (4, 4´). The calibration of dimensions of the shaped bricks (1) and balancing manufacturing deviations is characterized in that a calibration layer (5) of semisolid, silicate-based material, preferably cement-lime plaster or another plaster, is applied to at least one front surface (4, 4´). The thickness ({DELTA tii}) of the calibration layer (5) is adjustable and corresponds to the difference between the resulting required calibrated distance (Riv) and nominal distance of (Riji) of each shaped brick (1) surface. Preferably, the calibration is carried out by means of an application means (8) on a row of the shaped bricks (1) moving on a conveyor (6). After hardening of the calibration layer (5), the shaped bricks (1) are dimensionally unified on the front surfaces (4, 4´) and when carrying out finishing works on a façade or inner plaster, there is necessary to apply a thin plaster layer, only. The calibration method, according to the present invention is cheap and suitable for flow-line production of ceramic, concrete, cellular concrete, foam silicate, insulation, and other shaped pieces (1).
