Method for providing a stable working platform and a vessel thereof

The present invention discloses a method and a vessel (7) for providing a stable working platform for an offshore wind turbine (1). The vessel (7) comprises one or more buoyancy chambers configured to be at least partly filled with water so that the vessel (7) remains on the seabed (13) during the servicing or installation process. The buoyancy chambers may be passively filled with water by opening one or more hatches (24) or doors (14) in the hull (8) or actively filled with water by using a pumping system (15). The vessel (7) further comprises an upper deck (17) or raised deck on which one or more lifting units (18) are arranged. The lifting unit (18) is used during the servicing process or the installation process. After the service or installation process is completed, the buoyancy chambers are closed off and the vessel (7) is raised from the seabed (13) and any trapped water is led out of the vessel (7). The vessel (7) is finally moved to another location or back to the harbour.
