A fluid cartridge for treating a liquid sample is proposed, comprising a main channel, an upstream end and a downstream end, for passing the liquid sample from the upstream end to the downstream end and connected to the main channel at least one a branch channel for introducing liquid and gas into the main channel after passing a liquid sample downstream of at least one branch channel. At least one branch duct contains a first branch duct provided with a gas inlet for introducing gas into the first branch duct, a liquid inlet for introducing fluid into the first branch duct and a valve mounted for movement between the closed position in which the valve prevents the passage of fluid and gas from the first channel of the branch to the main channel, and an open position in which the valve allows the passage of liquid and gas from the first channel of the branch to the main channel.
