A Method and System of minimizing delay in allocating resource for emergency call by reserving preamble identity for emergency calls The present invention relates to a method and system for minimization of delay in allocating resource for emergency calls. In one embodiment this is accomplished by reserving a set of preamble identities for emergency calls and communicate to at least one User Equipment by a base station, receiving a request for an emergency call from at least one User Equipment, wherein the UE generate the physical random access signal as per selected preamble identity from the reserved set, receiving the emergency call request, a serving base station, to compute random access preamble identity and propagation delay to check against the set of reserved preambles and determining if the computed preamble identity belongs to set of reserved preambles thereby initiating the resource allocation process to that particular UE.
