Disclosed are: a resin composition for laser engraving which provides a film having excellent compositional uniformity and excellent toughness and is capable of providing a relief printing plate that is reduced in fracture of small sized dots; a relief printing original plate which uses the resin composition for laser engraving; a method for producing a relief printing plate which uses the relief printing original plate; and a relief printing plate which is obtained by the method. Specifically disclosed is a resin composition for laser engraving which is characterized by containing: (component A) a compound that has one or more condensable groups and one or more of radically chain transferable groups; (component B) a radically polymerizable compound; (component C) a radical polymerization initiator; and (component D) a binder polymer.
