A method and system for predicting a handover based on a geo-location of a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network is provided. The method includes computing a distance between the UE and an end of a current beam based on a current location of the UE, where the current beam is associated with a serving Base Station (BS) of the UE. Further, the method includes determining whether the computed distance is within a beam distance threshold for predicting a candidate beam for handover, where the candidate beam is associated with a neighbor BS.
