FIXTURE FOR HOLDING HOLLOW CASTING IN A MILLING MACHINE

This invention relates to a fixture and more particularly to a fixture for holding a hollow casting in a milling machine and supporting the walls of the casting thereof while the casting is being machined to a predetermined shape and size. It is an object of the present invention to provide a fixture for holding a hollow casting and supporting the walls thereof to maintain the precise dimensional configurations thereof while a portion of the hollow casting is being cut away to obtain desired feature on casting. A more specific object of this invention is the provision of a new and improved fixture for the holding of hollow casting adapted to be positioned on the work table of a multi axis milling machine.
