In this invention, a Gun System Prototype is operated from a remote place using a smart phone / Laptop or say PC is disclosed. The system consists of an USB camera to capture video; Friendly ARM9 board to process the video and to control the motors and trigger the gun (after accurate aiming), DC motors to provide 360� movement of the gun while aiming, a laser beam to locate the target in front of the gun and a gun system prototype. Using the web server application written in CGI script and hypertext markup language, we interfaced the server IP and developed a graphical user interface to operate the gun. The trigger of gun and DC motors are connected to the general purpose input output pins of the board; and a DC motor is interfaced in such a way to move the gun 360� with ARM9 board. In operation, a laser light is also used to identify the target and on triggering a buzzer will be operated. In order to overcome the hitch in the preceding and existing system, we present a proficient where it uses few hardware resources for the implementation of the video monitoring system. S3C2440 is a very good ARM9 family processor providing a camera interface which is very conducive to the application and development. Embedded Linux is chosen as operating system which provides open-source, multi-task, multi-process, highly modular, multi-platform support, performance and stability to the system. The designed system achieves maximum frame rate of 30 fps with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 if individual camera is initialized and 10 fps with a maximum video resolution of 340 x 480 if two cameras are initialized.
