Embodiments for rendering a pollution certificate for a vehicle are described. In one example, emission data indicative of an emission level of each of one or more pollutants emitted by a vehicle is received through a data communication interface (108). Subsequently, the pollution certificate is obtained based on the emission data. The pollution certificate is generated based on a comparison of the emission level of each of the one or more pollutants with a corresponding pre-defined emission threshold level, where a pre-defined emission threshold level corresponding to a pollutant is indicative of a permissible amount of an emission level of the pollutant released from the vehicle. Further, the pollution certificate is rendered on a display device deployed in the vehicle.
