ABSTRACT The various embodiments herein disclose a method and apparatus for creating personalized profiles based on a position of a smart ring on a user finger to control remote devices. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method comprising detecting, by the wearable ring device, a position on which the wearable device is worn based on a biometric parameter of a user finger, creating a plurality of user defined profiles, each profile associated with a position of the wearable ring device on the user finger, activating the profile corresponding to the determined position and receiving a user input on the wearable ring device to perform a preset action.
