[0053] The present invention provides a method to determine the elastic neighbourhood for positioning of display unit. In most preferred embodiment, the method includes the step of finding out elastic neighbourhood region consisting of selected business and consumer points, wherein the region starts expanding to meet an acceptable weightage criteria with the initial set of business points. The neighbourhood is formed, when the region is within the range of acceptable weightage criteria. Further, one or more business points are added, wherein upon adding the business points, the acceptable weightage criteria is exceeded and the neighbourhood is shrinked to meet the acceptable weightage criteria. The present invention further finds the dense regions comprising of collection of consumer points in the identified neighbourhood and positions the display unit near the dense region having the sub segments of the collection of consumer points.
