Exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure is directed towards a system for providing secure transactions by consuming fewer resources (communication cost and computational cost) with signcryption mechanism and mobile agent technology. The system includes a registration module for validating an issuer™s certificate and client™s certificate through an online certificate status protocol and communicate to a client and an issuer, a negotiation module configured to collect an information about goods and corresponding merchant information for generating a unique transaction identifier; and a payment and deposit module configured to perform verification for providing secure transaction between the client and the merchant. Hence this protocol is free from attacks and reduces cyber-crime risks through improvements to transaction security.
