A guide-bar assembly of a warp-knitting machine, having at least one thread guide which is disposed on a drive element which is operationally connected to a drive installation and to at least one counterforce element (5), wherein the counterforce element (5) has a piston-and-cylinder assembly in which a piston (10), which is connected to the drive element by way of a piston rod (6), is movable over a stroke length in a cylinder, and is impingeable by a pressure medium, is stated. The intention is to be able to minimize tension variations in the drive element.
