A NOVEL METHOD TO MEASURE SHOE SIZES amp; SHOE SIZE MEASURING APPARATUS BASED THEREUPON

The present invention discloses a novel method to measure shoesizes. The method takes into consideration crucial variables associated with each foot and is based upon the arch-heel ratio, i.e., the ratio between the heel-toe length and the arch-heel length. The arch-heel length is calculated as the length between the points where the arch of the foot ends and the heel base. The arch-heel ratio typically varies between 2.2 and 2.9. The present invention provides a shoe-size measurement method that is a combination of the regular shoe- size number and an associated arch-heel ratio. An apparatus to measure arch-heel ratio is provided. The present invention also describes a combination of regular shoe-size number and the arch-heel ratio as a novel measuring standard to measure shoe-sizes.
