The present invention is related to a method for detecting and quantifying organophosphorated pesticides. Said method consists in bringing a sample suspected to contain organophosphorated pesticides into contact with the chloroperoxidase enzyme of the Caldariomyces fumago fungus in the presence of thionine acetate, monitoring the absorbance changes caused by the enzymatic reaction and determining the degree of enzymatic inhibition by means of the obtained data.
