The invention relates to a dock guard for blocking entrance to a loading-unloading station, a dock and distribution center provided therewith and a method for guarding a driveway of such station. The dock guard according to the invention comprises: - a guide track disposed along a driveway; - a carriage guided by the guide track and provided with a locking member for releasable locking the carriage relative to the guide track; - displacing means configured for displacing the carriage along the guide track; - a guarding element that is connected to the carriage to enable movement along the guide track, with the guarding element being configured to prevent an unauthorized vehicle to enter the driveway towards the station; and - a guard activator configured to activate and/or de-activate the guarding element.
